Terms of Use
Bight is a personal productivity and reflection tool. It is not medical, mental-health, emergency, financial or professional advice and is not intended to diagnose, monitor, prevent or treat any condition.
Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Mitchell Sandland, the Australian operator of Bight. By downloading or using Bight, you agree to these terms and Apple’s applicable App Store terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Using Bight
You may use Bight for lawful personal or internal purposes. You must not interfere with the service; probe or bypass security; use automated traffic that harms availability; upload unlawful, infringing or malicious content; impersonate another person; or use Bight to create a high-risk system where failure could cause death, personal injury or major property or environmental damage.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you enter. You give Bight a limited licence to host, process, copy and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure and improve the features you choose. You are responsible for having the right to use the content and for keeping an independent export where the information is important.
Accounts and security
You are responsible for access to your device and Apple account. Tell support@bightgoals.com promptly if you believe an account or session has been compromised. Bight may suspend access that reasonably appears abusive, unlawful or dangerous to the service.
Bight Free and Bight Plus
Bight Free provides the features described in the app. Bight Plus is an auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple. The annual plan may include a 14-day free trial for eligible new subscribers; the monthly plan has no trial. The price and billing period shown in the App Store purchase sheet control.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple manages billing, refunds, cancellations and eligibility for introductory offers. You can manage or cancel in your Apple subscription settings. Cancelling stops future renewal but does not normally refund the current period. When Plus ends, Bight keeps your records and returns access to the Free feature limits rather than deleting your content.
Availability and changes
Bight may add, change or retire features to improve safety, reliability or the product. Bight will try to give reasonable notice when a material change removes a paid feature. Online services can be interrupted and are not guaranteed to be error-free or continuously available. Core records can be exported from the app.
Intellectual property
Bight’s app, name, visual design and software are owned by the operator or licensors and are protected by applicable law. These terms do not transfer that ownership. Feedback may be used without restriction or payment, but Bight will not publicly identify you as its source without permission.
Consumer guarantees
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees. Subject to those rights, Bight is provided “as is” and “as available,” and the operator excludes implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Bight and its operator are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost opportunities or loss caused by relying on Bight as professional or emergency advice. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to supplying the affected service again or paying the reasonable cost of doing so. This section does not limit liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Ending use and deletion
You may stop using Bight at any time. You can delete a cloud account through the in-app controls and remove local app data from your device. Account deletion does not itself cancel an Apple subscription; cancel subscriptions separately in Apple settings. Bight may terminate access for a serious or repeated breach, subject to applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, and disputes are subject to its courts, except where the consumer law of your home jurisdiction requires otherwise.
Contact and changes
Questions can be sent to support@bightgoals.com. Updated terms will be posted here with a new effective date. If a material change requires consent, Bight will request it before the change applies.
